In our kitchen we have a carpet that is stuck down to the concrete floor. I have taken one up in this kitchen in the past, what a pain, its not a fluffy one. Could lino be put on top the carpet or laminate flooring ?

If you used a breathable under slaters felt i think you would have to counter batten it. This would keep it away from touching the underside of the sheeting.

Drill a small hole though the shoe and through the downpipe. Then screw them togehter, you can always get it apart in the future.

Why not buy the sheeting with anti condensation backing on it.

You could do away with the gulley and use a 90' bend down lower and come up with some more black pipe. Sure you can get a grid cover that would fit over the 4" black pipe. You would need to dig some more soil out mind, at least this would give you some more depth.

Check that the bottom 2" of condensation cotton has been removed, if it hasn't you can get capillary action with the water soaking back up the sheet.

If you think it looks bad then use plastic Ogee style guttering, or deep flow Ogee.
