    calculation help

if 15kw / 230v = 65a then how come as stated in onsite guide that a 30/32a mcb and 6mm cable is adequate for upto 15kw asif it was at 15kw then surely 65a is too much for mcb and cable?

    Basic theory question

been pulling my hair out with this one, and its prob a stupid question but: if a 2x 2.5 cable can be wired into a 32a ring because the combined cable ratings are greater than the mcb, then why is a single spur allowed per outlet if that single 2.5 cables rating is less than the mcb...

    Cooker ratings?

Can someone give an explanation as to why, the osg says a 32amp mcb is suitable for cookers upto 15kw, which goes against the rules i alread understand for circ design... 15000/230 = 65a? even after diversity the figures dont work out am i missing something or just dumb ?

    radial rcd

thanks eric, can you explain why discrimination is not an issue ie: 20a mcb onto 40a mcb (assume its because im only addressing the rcd side?)

    radial rcd

adding addition to radial in bedroom (no rcd protection at all) planning on mounting a seperate rcd next to cu but need to know 20a mcb in cu using 2.5 to 30ma rcd but unsure of the a rating of the rcd does it need to be same or higher than mcb or does it not matter as its earth leak...
