have a 4mm feed to my cooker point, is it acceptable to spur from this to a socket for washing machine or is the cooker point a dedicated circuit for the cooker alone?

4mm? are you sure?

OK, What is the fuse in the consumer unit rated at for this circuit?

What is connected to the cooker point at the moment and what is its rating (KW or amps)?

sorry the question was more hyperthtical, if the circuit can handle the cooker its supplying and the extra load, then is it acceptable to spur from it......

Its a radial circuit so you work out the demand like any other to determine if the additional load is within In, Ib limits.

Any spur would need to be in the same size cable as the rest of the circuit (ie hypothetical 4mm)
