Can you wall mount the shower head of a bath/shower mixer?

As your roll top bath will not (usually) be fitted up against a wall ,when you use the shower some water will fall outside of the bath which can obviously cause problems, also when it is turned off after useage it will probably dribble for a while, again more water on floor.
