Anyone used Rothenberger Pipe Preps (the ones that look a bit like pipeslices, except they've got wire brushes inside)? Are they any good/worth the money, especially when removing paint from pipes? I've used flexi files up to now to clean paint/other crap off but as you will know this can take some time. Just wondering if these are actually any better...

dont get flux on them dont put them onto hot pipe. Not deep enough.

For paint burn it then wire wool. Or rough it off with grips. Former is neater. All the while muttering "I hate people who paint pipes".

Gimmicks, abrashive strips are really good, but as said earlier heat with torch first on real thick paint.
I tend to use the side of a flat bladed screwdriver to get started also.
End of the day its a ball ache and takes time and effort.

the HSE police will be after all of you for heating painted pipes, what kind of paint is it? what is in the paint? are you poisoning everyone? oooohhhh you will all be sorry now!!
remember the days when we could just get on with our job? it was great
