Never used solder ring connections before. Tried soldering a T joint which always seeps! After all parts have been assembled, where should I hold the blowtorch? In the middle of the whole connection attempting to melt the solder at all three ends at the same time, or, from each end...

Well, I Turned off my mains water stop cock (tap), under the sink for an hour to do some work...turned it back on again...and guess what...it leaks !! Well, only from the stem of the tap handle.. just a few "tear drops". Any suggestions, please ?

I've lost the little nut that secures the tap "head" to the top of the pillar (with the knurled end)on my bathtap. Blow me - but I can't find anything to replace it. I've tried a 4mm x 12mm machine screw with a slotted pan head, but its just a fraction too narrow. The next size up is 5mm but...
