    The stud centres should be about 400mm apart so your first one will be in the corner,so come of there 400mm I would just gently knock some holes into the wall to locate them ... As for loss off space.. with those tiles you can use a 6mm backerboards so your not losing to much diypanda..

    a de-coupling membrane will do the job this is also a waterproof membrane..(ditra)... What is the floor substrate.. What type off tile is it... Dependant on floor substrate.. Thinset onto floor use a 6mm serator Ditra ontop off this use your grout float to pat it down.. Elect ufh...

    Yes looking at its metal lathe pathe framing.. The hole looks rather big with a cavity behind it.. IMO I would just look into over boarding the whole wall with a cement based board..then tile...this way you would be saving on a lot off hassle..

    Ok back to the party wall... Take it your either semi detached or mid terraced... You have to remember when you removed the plastered wall/walls you have taken away the fire resistant s off the walls....so you will need to replace this with like for like or more stronger...brodie123 ...so...

    You can either build a stud wall or dot and dab the boards on and then fix plugs and screws thro the boards..any joins in boards use fiba tape.. This party wall how thick is it..single or double skin? Maybe look into insulation and vapour barrier prior to anything..

    Prime walls with PVA... Aye right...Pbod....ya know what yer talking about ther.....ffs Cookie score the plasterboard slightly with a Stanley blade then if you want to prime the walls...use an acrylic primer...not PVA.. Or better still get some heavy duty tape(gaffer tape)..put strips...

    First...tap your tiles and listen for any hollow sounds..and if so... You have trouble ...lift the lot... You could/would have water penetration under the tiles thus a de-bonding off tile off the floor and the adhesive broken down with the water penetration through....the not SET...

    What are the wall substrates made off...exterior?? Block and brick Timber stud and facing brick Brick and brick Block and block....ect ect Is there render/pebble dash on this exterior wall...where cracks are.. Is there a cavity ect... Could be lots off things causing your tiles...

    Ps If you don't have a flexi pipe connected to your 110mm waste..just go out and buy one and then do the above from previous post and fit flexi....this will take up any height difference from floor to pan height... :wink:

    Do you have a flexi hose fitted into your 110mm waste pipe from the pan.. ?? If so just turn water off to cistern..flush toilet...unscrew and lift pan out... Remove tiles... Refit pan and flexi hose..turn on water to cistern...heh presto.. Job done...
