    Will be moss IMO....solid wall with no cavity and cold water in your cistern will be causing this....wash the wall with water and bleach... You need ventilation in the room...or it will just keep coming back..or take cistern off wall and put a pad up then fit cistern to this..

    You want to be covering the ufh with a latex based self levelling compound Using a plastic trowel...then when set use your flexiable adhesive... Sorry never used...ever build adhesive so don't know if any good with your ufh and the substrate that you have...?? What is the substrate you have!!

    What's the thickness off the trusses..and these will be centred at 600mm This is what your plasterboard is fixed to.....!! So IMO look into braces and strengthening these and fixing a backer board.. What type size off tiles you fixing... Again mate it's the trusses/spacing between...

    You don't normally come off the bath with a full tile...usually just above half a tile and you check you cuts at top off wall and floor...i So yes you can do as you say...leaving this course off tiles till last,then you would cut tiles to suit..

    Most tile addy will take heat up to 150 deg... Just check with the mfr off the adhesive you have...make sure you have the correct distance from burner to wall...again follow mfr guidance re the burner installation... Tiles will be ok just make sure you seal them ect..

    Ok Use a hammer and bolster and take the splasback tiles off the wall... IMO it's just plasterboard with emulsion paint above the splashback...is it a new build house you have...? Can you give a wider pic of the bath...where are the taps..??? And the area to be tiled... Is that a wooden...

    Can't really see the condition off the ply in your pic.... How thick is it... Anyway...you will have a lot off dirt/dust on it...so trying to get an adhesive to bond to it will be a nightmare.... Is it a ground floor or upstairs b/room... Joists spacing/thickness.... What type off...

    No probs.... :wink: Remember always have the ribs off adhesive going across the wall not up the wall.... Tiles won't slip down as much... You won't get to much adhesive coming thro between tiles.... Any water ingress won't run down behind the tiles as much,,..the ribs will slow it down...

    Water in bath?

    When fitting the bath you will fix bath brackets to wall and use 2x2 and as strapping under the bath along the walls... Then seal around said bath with a very good quality silicone...fill bath all the way up...this way you can also check the overflow for any leak... Then leave bath overnight...
