I was brought up in the days of maps, road atlases. And I still have an atlas in the car - trying to use a satnav to plot a route from A to Z over country lanes is basically impossible. Plan B: Buy a decent road atlas.

It won't - the timer will lose its supply every time the (light?) switch is turned off. Use it to control the permanent live to the fan.

:confused: Also, it's the isolator, not the functional switch - you don't use that to turn the fan on and off. Seems odd that if you actually need the fan at all you wouldn't want it to be inactive for more than half the day. You need to retain the isolator - put the timer before it...
