    Yea DG units fit into the frames...I use double sided tape, looks good just worrie about wood if we sell will buyer want pvc.

    The window firm where I get the glass is not that good I have had 5 units of which 2 were bad with rubber protruding edges...the one with broken glass thats in now cracked easily when I inserted into frame...I then got a discount of 50% for another one, the other one came with rubber protruding...

    Hi can someone advise? I got a new DG unit fitted but managed to get a small crack on inside bottom right, unit is new and looks good apart from crack, its on edge next to frame...is there anything I can do to conceal it make it look better for now as dont want to fork out more doe just yet...

    Yea it would cost me 8 grand to replace all the wood frames to pvc windows, it will cost me 300 quid to replace the glass on busted ones. I wold never get money back spending 8k.

    Mike is bang on, the stove will be in that space and chimney is a meter to side, to go into the chimney it would need building work to take brick out then cut the clay higher up to connect the flue, so Mike think you are saying it would be too much work to do it that way so better false chimney...

    Here's knock thru for double sided a meter right is chimney can put flue in chimney customers too low so chimney needs cutting further up to allow bend and flow. Maybe better straight up with twin ?

    Thanks for breakdown that looks about right for the quote, stove from retailer £749 or so without vat £849 with the installer has a fireplace showroom so they would zquire the stove, so theycharge vat on total of all at end, should a buy stove delvered first would it save much?
