Grant/Riello 530se Oil boiler wont fire, no lockout?

Cheers guys, Had a look at it again last night. Photocell on or off made no difference to sequence :( Tested it on the meter, very high resistance with no light, low reistance with light. Checked the white wire and getting 53v so assuming motor is good. Removed the coil and checked...

Grant/Riello 530se Oil boiler wont fire, no lockout?

Thanks for the reply, By coil do you mean the oil valve/solenoid or the spark? My logic says its either the solenoid or the controller but i suppose if the 50v isnt there neither will work properly. I forgot to add, removed the photocell and it didnt change the operation. Sensor was...

Hi guys, Looking a product to level out a sand cement rendered wall so that it can be tiled within 2-3weeks. Probably a variance of 4-8mm to take out, have a plasterer on site so was going to get him to "skim" it flat. Im told sand and cement or skim needs 6 weeks before tiling. Im...

    underfloor heating not working

Screw the blue caps down. The pin sitting up on the one you have removed is the valve. When you screw the cap down it pushes the pin and opens the valve allowing flow. These should act like an on/off switch. Top ones are the flow adjusters, used to balance the system, unscrewing increases...

    underfloor heating not working

Could be the return valves are closed and system effectively off. Try giving the blue valves a few turns in and out to and see if you get any movement on the black guages. With the system on and pump running the black guages at the top should be registering a flow, if the top manifold is...

Thanks for the replies. Have to agree with you on the different roofer front, thought it sounded like a way for him to make a quick buck. Had a friend of a friend take a look, (joiner by trade, but likes roofs), he has experience doing Felt and Trocol. Reckons the Trocol system is one of...
