Single Doorbell Push to Two Battery Chimes

If the chime in the garage did work and that was the solution I'd do it but the chime in the garage does not work(as said before tested cable and it's fine) and I can't get both to work at the same time.

    membrane on top of floorboards

Today I discovered two of the airbrick vents blocked. One with concrete the other with silicone from the back. I cleaned out all of the vents and they are all now clear. 8 vents in total. 2 on each wall of the house. Also cleared out some junk the other day from the crawl space and that seems to...

    Garege conversion query with insulation

Hi Im going to be doing the same very shortly in my new house that has a detached garage. Except split the garage into two rooms. It all depends on how much noise insulation you want. As for me I don't want any noise or as little as possible seeping out of the garage. Hence room within a...

    membrane on top of floorboards

Hi, thanks for the reply. It lets air through. I tried using that in a flat before along the skirting and gaps between floorboards to stop cooking smells seeping up from the flat below. It didn't work. I had to then scrape as much of it away as possible and put pvc over then seal the edges at...

Dangers of disconnected Main Circuit Flow Switch ?

Hi thanks for all the replies. The boss guy came out and checked over the boiler and gave it the thumbs up. Seemed a very genuine person. He confirmed he sacked the guy a while ago and thought he had heard the last of all his botched repairs. So alls ok now, more or less. Got just a stupid...

Dangers of disconnected Main Circuit Flow Switch ?

I do have the receipt that details everything supposedly done at the time of the repair. I thought I'd try and contact the company, in the first instance. And I believe I got a result! I spoke to the company boss this afternoon and detailed my situation and he told me that he actually...

Dangers of disconnected Main Circuit Flow Switch ?

Hi, I've got an Ariston SX20 Eurocombi. Today the 12/08/08, I had a central heating engineer out to do some work on my boiler. He was really good and also helpful. He pointed out that the main circuit flow switch had both orange wires cut and pushed down towards the rear of the boiler at the...

Ariston SX20 Eurocombi no running hot water.

Worked out a temporary solution to the problem. If the diaphragm is more than likely on the road out and worn. It's unable to push the pin high enough up to switch over from central heating to running hot water. I placed a small piece of insulating tape between the pin and the plastic...

Ariston SX20 Eurocombi no running hot water.

Thanks for the advice. It doesn't push all the way into the switch block to activate the change over to ignite the burner for running hot water. Though goes up and down with relevant tap position. If I manually push the the plastic connector that the pin controls up an extra millimeter or...

Ariston SX20 Eurocombi no running hot water.

Hi Chris, the pin from the top of the divertor into the block looks ok. Just a small amount of corrosion round the area where the pin comes out of the divertor. What are you thinking about pin condition ? I'll check the contacts though on the block above the divertor. cheers dave
