    Removing caulking and cork

So, my old laminate flooring was obviously a DIY job (and not a very good one). I'm having carpets down, and when removing the cork was was shoved in the expansion gap, I've found a section that was caulked on. Any ideas how to get it off? If I try grab it with pliers, all I get is a few mm.

Sorry, yes I do own it. Could I cut the cable to my desired length and fit the signal socket box?

    What to with aerial cable?

Just moved into a new property and have an aerial cable with about a metre four more flex coming through the wall into the main bedroom. I do not watch TV in the bedroom so do not need this. What is the best and easiest way to remove it or to at least do something with it? Thanks

    More questions on paint marring

So Dulux tell me that paint marring is very common in dark paint (I have a dark blue and a grass green green). Is this true? The paint marks with the lightest of touch.

Plug socket replacement gone wrong (help?!)

So, I tried to change my first plug socket. Unfortunately, my new socket did not seem to fit my backbox (even though I thought they were all universal). I therefore removed the new plug face to put the old one back on. Unfortunately, moving the wires around mean they are not neatly twisted...

    Dulux paint marring

So I bought two different colours for two different rooms of the Dulux paint that they make at store. I applied two coats to two different walls in two different rooms. Idiotically I also used a tester pot to fill in some snags on one wall. This left different marks. I therefore had to go back...

Flat beading to cover expansion gap

Hi I tried to post yesterday evening but it didn't seem to work. The new property I have bought have a large uneven expansion gap around the laminate. Sometimes this is nearly as much as 20 mm. The most cost-effective solution appears to be having flat beading. However, where most people...

Beading for unequal laminate expansion gap

Hello all This is my first time owning a 1970s home so I've got a fair bit of DIY to do. I am guessing the previous owners fitted their own laminate flooring as there is a unequal expansion gap going from pretty much 0 to nearly 2 cm at different sides of the room. I'm looking at ways to...
