    many thanks for the replies The gap is actually at the bottom of the door so not too noticeable I have some wax sticks that I used for some gaps in my T&G floor so I will give them a go. Do you think this will stay in indefinably or will it fall out after a while?

    I have a question about fire doors I have had one fitted and it looks like it needed to be shaved down a bit, if I look at the top I can now see the internal material of the door and not the veneer. Will this pass the building regs sign off?

    Sorry I am a bit confused as to what you are saying? I have asked a few questions and I think I am going to cut out the area and then try and slowly unpick the T&G, I will then replace 2 strips that I cut and put the remaining saved area back fingers crossed!!!!
