Hi

I am about to embark on a loft conversion, all plans drawn up etc.

The structural engineer has asked that I install an new upright steel to support a current steel in my living room where a wall was originally situated.

My problem is that I have an engineered wood floor throughout my first floor. Is there anyway of being able to unpick a T&G floor that has been glued?

Fortunately I had purchased too much flooring when I installed it so I have some spare, just unsure how I am going to go about doing it

I need a reasonable working area as I need to dig a new footing for the steel.

Any help much appreciated

Why not post a pic of the total area to be removed lightly marked out - use thin tape.

Sorry I am a bit confused as to what you are saying?

I have asked a few questions and I think I am going to cut out the area and then try and slowly unpick the T&G, I will then replace 2 strips that I cut and put the remaining saved area back

fingers crossed!!!!
