Recommend a central heating control system.... Please !!!!!

Chris.. Thanks for the reply. To be honest I am quite conpetant at wiring etc, I really just wondered if anybody had used a wireless thermostat with a timer that they were particularly impressed with. After speaking to my supplier about controls etc I got a bit concerned about compatibility...

Recommend a central heating control system.... Please !!!!!

I have to install a new C/H system and I am having problems deciding what controls to use for it (I have been told that some controls work better with certain boilers etc). As I only normally install Combi's (and that is when I have no other work) the conventional wiring of a system is new to...

Extra BTU's for a Hot Water Cylinder.

I am going to install a new open vented conventional system with a 150 litre cylinder. My needs are as follows... To run 13 Rads and 2 towel warmers....... Totals 20.185 Kw (68784 BTU). I will add 10% for expansion (Not that this is really necessary because the house is at it's full...

    What is the difference....between Worcesters.

Thanks BOB for that.. I am not that worried about the size issue, I will do all my BTU calculations on that... Glazing type etc. I should have thought before I put that in my post. (Sunday night thing). I just want to know if it's worth going for the CDi as regards to the Si. Cheers for your...

    What is the difference....between Worcesters.

I have looked... 28CDi 11.4 litres a min.... 28Si 11.6 litres a min... Doesn't seem to be much difference there... there is nearly £100 difference so I would guess that is more than .2 of a litre difference between them. I just thought someone may give me the benefit of their experience that is...

    What is the difference....between Worcesters.

A quick question.... What is the difference between a Worcester CDi boiler and a Si boiler. What would you put in a 3 bed house with 10 rads a bathroom and a shower room. Would a 95,500 BTU be enough (roughly) or is it worth going for the big 120,000 BTU... 35 CDi, or is this just wasteful with...

Ideal Icos HE24 and fully pumped system..

Can anybody help me out with this.... I am not (As you will read from my previous posts) that clued up on the ins and outs of central heating systems, but I have been given the option of installing a new boiler into a property, they have chosen an Ideal Icos HE24 and this is where my problems...

    Gas Instantaneous Water Heaters...

I have already called Valiant and they only do a model suitable for caravans and boats (Whatever that means). I will try Chaff and Maury but I have found that most people just sell "Leccy" ones and not Gas. Thanks

    Gas Instantaneous Water Heaters...

Question 1... Are these single point flueless units still allowed in a well ventilated Employees Toilet in a shop? I seem to remember from my ACS that because they are only used for a short period of time they are still allowed to be used as long as the room volume is over 5m cubed and the...

    ideal Response 120

Ok Chris, thanks mate I will check. I think for ease and cost sake it is going to be better to get me to fit an external EV. If I start having to take the boiler off the wall and then strip it to replace the part, and then recommission it it is going to cost them more and to be totally honest...

    ideal Response 120

Thanks Chris.. I have done that before myself, I think this customer would prefer me to replace the original one as they have this boiler located in a cupboard which they use for storage. Can I just clarify that the DHW expansion vessel having water in should just be left alone if there is no...
