    porcelain drilling

i've tried all the kits on the market, and the best i've found much to my supprise is the Plasplugs drillbit available from Tilegiant. The suction pads don't last long but I hold the guides steady and drill slowly. Saw it at the tile and stone show years ago before they went bust

    Bathroom Refurb

Just to add, not sure what bath panel you are using but if its a fixed size acrylic I tend to tile the floor first, going under the bath edge, then set the bath to the correct height allowing for the acrylic panel. When you say units do you mean vanity units? I tile all the way to the back...

twisted strap protruding away from brickwork

It might not be "hidden" as such as were going for a vaulted roof, so thats what I was worried about, kicking the plasterboard out at the top. I'll look at chopping them in if its an issue when I come to drylining. Thanks Paul

Hi all, fitting some twisted straps to the wall and rafters on my roof, and where the strap twists and meets the wallplate it pushes away the strap from the blockwork by approx 10-20mm. Is this normal? Do I need to rebate some of the wall plate to get the bend closer to the wall or will I...

    Joist hanger question

Woody, In this case the original plan was to have an open vaulted ceiling with velux's, without a ceiling tie, which the Architect has done the calcs for and has been approved. However, we can't get a 15degree angle on the roof without building round the windows. Why the Architect didnt...
