Hi all,

fitting some twisted straps to the wall and rafters on my roof, and where the strap twists and meets the wallplate it pushes away the strap from the blockwork by approx 10-20mm.

Is this normal? Do I need to rebate some of the wall plate to get the bend closer to the wall or will I make up the gap when I come to dryline the walls?

Thanks in advance

Paul

No, this is normal and is also normally in a hidden from the eye location, unless in the garage or such like...pinenot :)

It might not be "hidden" as such as were going for a vaulted roof, so thats what I was worried about, kicking the plasterboard out at the top.

I'll look at chopping them in if its an issue when I come to drylining.

Thanks

Paul
