Not a euro cylinder, don’t think you get those on a night latch? You know, the typical round Yale cylinder lock. Very common, you will know it when you see it. However they are not BS standard, the BS standard night latches appear to have a more rectangular cylinder. Like here...

It’s ok, that’s not the finished face. It’s more filling up to the box, as I didn’t want to go over the cables, but looks like that’s what gets done by a plasterer anyway :)

Just pulled off the switch, was 99% exactly the same as the new switch. All done, the boss lady is happy with the result - all perfect. Thanks everyone for your help :)

:) it’s coming off tomorrow, i was just being pro-active in working out how easy it will be with the confusing mess on the back of the new switch. Have ordered new multimeter as old one not working, so I’ll need to wait till that gets delivered tomorrow to test the switch, but I’ll post the...

Ta! So guessing my guess is right, the way they are segmented by lines on the back, shows the switches? So the middle switch has com and 1 at the top?

Ok, am scratching my head. Don’t want to call an electrician to change a light switch, as that would be embarrassing….. I have a three gang switch, all controlling three individual lights. Simple on/off for each one, no complexity with other switches. I want to change to plastic switch, so...

That’s it in the context of the whole, inside of the big window still has a wooden surround, no cracks visible on inside of house (except the usual you would expect for a “vintage” house. Just realised how dirty the bricks look as well :( I think I need to find a “how to clean brick” forum...

Yes, a flipping big one. Used to be old wood window, now it’s UPVC. Was done about 15 odd years ago
