    Anyone used less2build.com?

That's a real shame to hear that. I've used them quite a few times this year for materials for two extensions and they've been good. Hope you get it sorted. J

    help damp in bay window

Have you checked the cavities? Old victorian houses can have problems with cavities filled up causing a bridge. I cleared out the cavities around the parimeter of my house. You couldn't imagine how much came out but I'm pleased I did it.

Cavity tray for opening into new extension

I'm getting what your saying. Sounds like a bloody nightmare to me. It's a lean to roof and not a pitched one. BC haven't mentioned anything so I'm not quite sure what he will say. I'm looking around my area at all the lean to extensions and thinking I'll be damned if they've got bloody cavity...

Cavity tray for opening into new extension

The trouble being, if this tray was above the lintel then it would seep out of the wall above the lintel, which is inside the extension. Ideally, I need a cavity tray that angles left and right so any drops fall into the cavity left and right of the doorway.

Cavity tray for opening into new extension

Hello guys, I'm currently building a small lean to extension on the rear of my house. The lead flashing of the lean to roof goes right upto and under a large Victorian window. 1 meter down from that window is the opening through the cavity through to the new extension. I'm...

    Grout Sealer

Well, I've started to get some slight mould lines on the edges of the tiles in some spots over the bath. I think this because too much grout got washed out when applying. in areas where the grout is all but flush with the tile it's been fine. After application, you can see the was bead on...

    Silicone Render

It's as a base coat. Basically I had some problems with my cavity insulation, sorted it but BC want a silicone render as a base coat on one internal wall as belt and braces. I was talking to a mate of mine last night who uses K-Rend and suggested that might do the job. Do you think a...

    Silicone Render

Hello guys, Can anyone recommend a silicone internal render? I've been asked to use it on one wall by BC. Is Sika 1 what I'm after? Maybe something similar as used when tanking basements? Thanks J

Two extractor fans into one duct

Hello Guys, thank you for your responses. The run from the wet room is about 2300mm from the hole in the ceiling to the exist point. The run from the utility fan to exit is about 5mm as the fan will sit next to the wall. What I was trying to avoid was two vents on the outside wall...

Two extractor fans into one duct

Hello guys, I need to install an extractor fan into a new wet room, and one into the utility room next door. The 4" duct will go right over the utility room. Is it possible to use To vent into a single exit point, or will one just blow into another? Thanks J
