There are different types of silicone render. K-rend is a type normally used for external finishes. The DIY sheds usually do silicone render or plaster pre-mixed in tubs. What's the application? And why does BC want silicone over a normal plaster finish?
It's as a base coat. Basically I had some problems with my cavity insulation, sorted it but BC want a silicone render as a base coat on one internal wall as belt and braces.
I was talking to a mate of mine last night who uses K-Rend and suggested that might do the job.
Do you think a skim coat would be okay on top?
