CFL lighting problems with new Movement sensors

I can certainly try extending the on time, though that will kind of defeat the idea of having the lights switch off when not in use :? The idea was to save energy when the stairs are not in use, but I am not so sure it is the right thing thinking about it, presumably there would be an...

    Ring or Radial differences

Acording to BS 7671 I can have as many socket outlets as I want on a 2.5mm ring circuit protected by a 32A breaker (up to 100 sq M) If I run a radial circuit in 4mm, (with 32A breaker) is there a limit to the no of outlets I can have? (it is no larger than the specified 75 sq M max) Thanks

Thanks Plugwash, your reply was very helpful, I hadn't thought of doing it that way, obviously a blonde moment on my behalf :D ...and Ricecrispie, not all of us have years and years of experience like you must have, but that doesn't mean we are incompetent. If you dont have anything...

    Campsite Electrics Question?

Thankyou for the replies I am refering to UK campsites so if the installation was done prior to the 16th edition, and was without a RCD, would it have to be updated, or is it still OK to use, assuming that the tap off is protected at the point of use?

Are the power supply points at camp sites protected by an RCD at the outlet point, or should the user (ie the camper) have the protection built into their equipment? also is 10 amp the max allowable, as they use the blue 16 amp plugs? :? Thanks

    reversing MCB's

Just a quick question, is it OK to reverse an MCB in a DB, as I am having trouble gwtting hold of the specific type that fit, but have another brand which do, but it means having it reversed? Would the operation of the MCB be affected by the reversal of the current flow direction? Thanks
