    cheers david :D would it make a difference if i say it is against a plasterboard wall, but sits upon a vanity unit. the holes in the casting done line up with the wooden verticles of the wall so can i drill new holes in the correct place through the casting or will i crack it?? cheers

    got a stubby - could use that silicone - would this be ok?? would some sort of grab adhesive be better?? just dont want to risk anyone pulling it away from the wall which would be hard to do but you never know!! cheers

    hole is bigger than patress, and was put in by a blind man!! as to why a dry lining box wasnt used, i am unable to answer that, as the previous owner is 6 feet under. sorry :oops: did the cardboard trick, and skimmed the edges with filler. worked a treat!!! thanks guys!! cheers george
