    Organising garage?

Got these two locks going into the rotten wood on edges. Wouldn't be too difficult to drill out the wood I reckon. The guy in the lock shop did say they're better than a central lock in ground because they can bend the side of garage out and squeeze in though.

I did some work for a guy who But theyre insured. Anyone know a cheap chest thing from B and q or somewhere? I could stick powertools in there.

    Organising garage?

In the picture in my first post thought about running the ladder on the same brackets but floor level on that wall and having a shelf at the height of the desk. Then build a box/chest thing with a door on it to put my Stihl and dewalt equipment (below the shelf). So hedge cutters, blower...

How to use this expanding fixing?

Think the chippy recommended the expanding fixing because of the soft brick.

How to use this expanding fixing?

So u would use a seriously thick screw for those 10mm plugs? Where would u get those? The plasterboard and hollow wall are the wrong ones? The expanding on (I believe called it hollow wall) was what I was recommended by a chippy in b and q. What is this soft brick anyhow?

How to use this expanding fixing?

Tried these as well. Hardcore screw. Anyone know material am drilling into? This bolt/screw thing is really strong. Just put it in. The other two were pulling out of hole or turning when I tried to do screw up. The plug is 10mm so hardcore

How to use this expanding fixing?

Been trying to use the expanding screw( as in pix above) and without the screws which they both come with. Trying to use a longer screw to account for the shelf bracket's length as well

How to use this expanding fixing?

Yeah, it's one of the longer ones. Is it supposed to go behind the back (2nd) plasterboard and expand behind it? I am using it in these brick sized white soft things which are more crumbly and normal brown plugs don't get a great fixing in garage- will send photo. They arent as hard as orange...

How to use this expanding fixing?

Was going to use one of these fixings. I drilled a hole a bit wider then pushed it in. Then tried to turn screw so the metal in hole expanded outwards with outside bit hammer in so it digs into wall. Is that correct?

    Organising garage?

The floor is really dusty. Might look into that concrete sealer stiff. Think the ceiling has asbetos, so not keen on putting ladders up there. Might get a wardrobe or build one for garden petrol tools and Dewalt power tools. Think other stuff will be ok

    Organising garage?

Sorting garage. Thought that if I put as much on shelves as possible would be able to clear floor. In photo the ladder is taking up a lot of space. Is it worth putting it along bottom so touching floor to make space for shelves? Maybe with ladder hooks at ground level. Is painting the...

    Good saw horse

Those pricey but good ones, how you attach the 4 by 2 CLS? Self tapping screws? And do they fold up quite small? I don't mind weight just not bulk

Easiest way to dig fence pole holes?

I do them occasionally for jobs. Those petrol ones wouldn't get through rock or roots according to the reviews

Easiest way to dig fence pole holes?

When I did a long fence recently it was a nightmare, was supposed to go 2 feet down for each post but there was concrete in places and thick soil never made it that deep. We used a spade and heavy mental pole to make the holes. Is there a machine or something which can dig these holes and...

Laying concrete and shuttering for greenhouse

And are the pegs in the middle of the trench in the four corners and the tops of these all level with each other and the level which the concrete is poured? I was just going to cut up some ply for the shuttering. Dig a four inch deep hole and bang in four pegs which are level with each other...

Laying concrete and shuttering for greenhouse

Haha. Is it case of digging a spades width apart, using the shuttering pegs and a big level or piece of wood and level to check they're the same height. Then check the diagonals are the same distance so I know it's exactly rectangular? Then put in base of green house

Laying concrete and shuttering for greenhouse

A bit dark so not clear but basically need to lay trenches a shovels width around perimeter of green house and use shuttering to keep it level. Going to put greenhouse base (those silver things in photo) onto concrete so it's level. Never done it before. Is it easy or best to get landscaper...
