    System flush question

Hi all. I have just had a heating engineer quote for our new boiler installation and I'd like to get opinions from you guys about something he has said about the system flush. He has said that the flushing machine is connected above the boiler as this speeds up the installation. I'm not totally...

    Conventional Boiler Recommendation

Hi all. I am looking for a conventional boiler for my open vented system to replace an old conventional non condensing boiler and would like a recommendation if possible either for a model or just a brand. I have a 4 bed detached house with 11 radiators. Don't need anything fancy, just something...

Is this drill suitable for lower power work as well as high?

I'm thinking of getting this drill for some heavy drilling I need to do. The first thing is to drill into some concrete lintels to attach curtain poles and I may use it to take break down some ornamental brick work in our living room too but I am also wondering if it is OK for regular drilling...

    Drill recommendation for concrete lintel

OK so the titan thing is a bit big I've decided and not really suitable for the work I want to do, so I have been having a look around at smaller ones. I've found two bosch sds drills which look good, but I'm having problems deciding. They're both the same price but the green is more powerful...

    Drill recommendation for concrete lintel

Thanks. What wattage would be good for this. A lot of the 2 ish kg SDS's are around 700-800w, is this suitable or should I be looking for something with a bit more power?

    Drill recommendation for concrete lintel

Hi all. I have the lovely job of drilling into a concrete lintel to attach a curtain pole. I have done one already which took an age using an old 710w hammer drill, but it ended up being the biggest bodge job ever. So now I have the 2nd rail to do, but I want to do it properly this time and so...

    Header tank steaming

Thanks. I was hoping that wasn't the solution :( as our house was freezing on setting 2 let alone setting 1. Do you know if it is damaging to the system to leave it as it is? In response to kbdiy, what is the easy fix you are referring to?

    Header tank steaming

Hi. Does anyone know if it's normal for a header tank to be steaming? I turned the pump up recently to setting 3 to see if it would help heat our house better (a very long story), but the tank is now steaming and I am wondering if this is OK or not. The house is lovely and warm now so I'm not...
