Any Views on Vaillant ecoTEC Plus combination boiler

Hi, I’m back and after a few days of though and investigation I find myself now moving towards a new combi bailer. My OH has decided we need a new bathroom suit very soon, well in the next year and her new bath preference is for one wider than the current one. So I have removed the bath side...

Any Views on Vaillant ecoTEC Plus combination boiler

A problem shared is a problem halved or something like that. I shall go over the latter options with my Gas engineer on Monday. As I mentioned on an earlier post, I haven't previously heard of an Intergas units so I shall do some digging. Once again many thanks for your input. Regards...

Any Views on Vaillant ecoTEC Plus combination boiler

Having now been through the many, much appreciated, contributions to my enquiry I am in brain overload mode. Part of me thinks I should bite the bullet and go for a new combi, type to be decided. Then I look at my current system and while the boiler is 26 year the rest of the pipework...

That's a brand I hadn't heard before. How does it compare with the Vaillant price-wise. Benny.

Any Views on Vaillant ecoTEC Plus combination boiler

Just out of interest, in case I should go down the Vaillant route, how prone are combi's to failure, especially PCB's? I have noticed this on a number of threads where PCB's need replacing. Does the entire PCB need replacing or is it a component failure; obviously lees expensive. Regards...

Any Views on Vaillant ecoTEC Plus combination boiler

Its certainly old (26years) and even more basic than the one you described. In fact its hasn't a fan nor functioning PCB's (the pump overrun circuit was never activated). Thank you for that contribution. I hadn't given too much consideration to cost savings, concentrating more on getting it...

Any Views on Vaillant ecoTEC Plus combination boiler

Thanks you for your input Tony. The boiler is a Baxi Solo 50RS supplying HW & CH, indirect system. My annual Gas usage is typically 12500kW. The guy I use lives a few streets away, looks after most of the neighbours systems. I called him last night and on his way to another job today...

Any Views on Vaillant ecoTEC Plus combination boiler

While I was leisurely considering fitting a Burglar Alarm with help from the ‘Alarms, CCTV & Telephone Forum’ I now find myself on this form having been overtaken by events. My 26 year old Baxi CH/HW boiler has failed for the first time. I have had my local Independent Gas Engineer call (he...

    Yale 6400 Alarm Help

If the siren can be disarmed in the manner you described then I shall go with the batteries in situ and hope for their longevity. I plan to run a test on their status prior to installation. As for the state of the mounting surface; it looks fairly decent, its 1960’s brickwork so should be...

    Yale 6400 Alarm Help

My concern about accessing the siren stems more from on-line reviews on Screwfix, Amazon etc. rather than the false alarms mentioned in the instructions. While the overwhelming number of reviews are positive, where issues occur the greatest challenge, for me at least, would be accessing the...

    Yale 6400 Alarm Help

Thank you so much for your prompt reply. I greatly appreciate your suggestions and am comforted by your confidence in the products battery life. I shall spend a little more time planning my system and may be back for more guidance. Thank you once again. Benny.

    Yale 6400 Alarm Help

Hi, I’m considering installing a Yale HSA6400 alarm system. I have read a number of instances where users experience false alarms requiring the ‘silencing’ of the Siren; also, some have mentioned the frequency of battery change-out. To minimise ladder climbing I am thinking of fitting a...

Franke Zurich Tap - Lets out water after turned off...

Does anyone know if this problem is confined to Franke and just some or all taps in their ceramic range or perhaps to all manufactures. I'm wondering if its an issue caused by the profile of the tap's outlet, possibly it's radius, some being more extreme than others. Perhaps I'm just...

Thanks for that. Just picked this up on the Franke site, don't know if water pressure is relevant or not. Regards, Benny.

Just curious if you ever resolved this issue. I was about to purchase one of these and noticed a similar problem noted on some user reviews. Regards, Benny.

    Replacing a Danfoss 4033 timer

Hi, I am in a similar position; need to replace a Randall 3033, very similar but much older unit. Having looked a number of programmers I am drawn to the Siemens RWB2007. http://eplumbstore.co.uk/siemens-1/siemens-rwb2007-easy-52-or-7-day-diital-programmer-rwb2007-siemens?page=2 It has a...

Advise on replacement for Randall 3033 Programmer

Sorry for the length of this post but I am looking at replacing an ageing an increasingly noisy Randall 3033 programmer. It manages a fully umped H/W & C/H system with separate zone valves . And while there’s plenty of electronic replacement, there are very few electro-mechanical devices...

hi this sounds crazy ??heating system mind of its OWN

Hi I'm just curious as to whether you solved your problem. The reason I ask is I am about to replace my present programmer and this (Danfoss SET3e) was one of the replacement options I was considering. Regards, Benny.

Replacing fan on Creda Eoropa Solar Plus (Model 48141)

Just an update. Got the replacement today (£25), fitting was easy. The only issue was the fixing screws. You have to use the old one's (none provided) and they had to be cut to length as the profile of the replacement was slightly different to the old one. Regards, Benny.
