    Spur from shower circuit

Well as it happens, we had an engineer round from MIRA to fix our electric shower a couple of weeks ago. I installed it as a replacement just before Xmas, and it’s one of those with a faulty flow valve which made it screech and howl for a few seconds after you turned it on. Like a banshee...

This is an interesting point (or am I just sad :D ) Any more opinions on whether or not Reg’s dog leg is within the permitted zones? Is Reg's dog leg compliant per se?

    Any contact lense wearers?

Nah, they are all too busy looking for that computer disc :D But just in case, I will clarify my previous post by stating that the individual orders are small, and I believe below the de minimis limits for charging customs duty and import vat :D

    Any contact lense wearers?

I wear Focus daily disposables, but as stated they can play up in dusty / office environments. Whichever brand you go for, try them out for a few days first to see if you get on with them. If you decide to take the plunge, why not save a packet and import them from America? The link below...

Outside lighting , wiring not in zones - advise please !!

Drill bits? Bah! You need a man’s tool for this job. A pneumatic drill will soon create plenty of openings in the safe zones… …but be careful of unexpected consequences from the vibrations…

Outside lighting , wiring not in zones - advise please !!

Agreed. However the installation as it now stands is safer with RCD protection than without. Under the 17th he would need to RCD protect this work in any case. No doubt the OP will welcome any suggestions anybody has on how to get his wiring within the safe zones...

    rewiring

RCD nuisance tripping (which I think is your problem) can be a pain to track down, and involves isolating appliances until the culprit is found. By isolating I mean completely unplugged from the mains, not just turned off. Suspect watery stuff like showers, washing machines, kettles etc. The...
