    Whirlpool ADG7540 problem

Ok, I put it on rinse and opened the door after 4 mins. The water was above the filters. Also, I put the arms at the 6 o'clock position and at the end of the program they were still in that position.

They go round if I move them by hand if that's what you mean. I'll try the other thing you said. Cheers

    Whirlpool ADG7540 problem

I've noticed that it appears to run a full programme, but when complete there is still half a tablet left and the plates are still dirty. Could that mean it's not getting enough water?

    Whirlpool ADG7540 problem

Hi, I have this DW. It's around 5 yrs old. Today after a 90min wash, the door and the crockery was still dirty. I've cleaned out the filters, topped up the salt and rinse agent and then did another wash, this time with it empty. When finished, the door was still dirty. There were some...

Painting in a (fairly) new build

Hi, We've been in our house now for a couple of years. All the walls are magnolia (I think) and the paint work is awful. It's such a thin coat and in places it looks like you can see through it. Rubbing it with a damp cloth takes the paint off. We now want to paint a room (well, one for...

    Whirlpool Dishwasher Inlet Tube part

I have a whirlpool adg7540 dishwasher. Today I took out all the plastic parts inside to clean them including the filters and the inlet tube that runs from top to bottom. The tube was quite hard to remove from the top but in the end it popped out. However, when putting back it does not clip in...

Installing a shower over a bath

On looking at the boiler I can see that it's the 115ltr model, so that's a bonus I guess.

Installing a shower over a bath

I will check that out, thanks Baxpoti. Edit: It is almost certainly the 85 model, but it does have a separate cylinder fitted above it. I'm not sure what that is yet! It's quite small, about the size of a plastic fuel can I guess. Is it an extra hot water cylinder?

Installing a shower over a bath

When I said "work off the taps" I meant a shower that feeds directly from the tap unit like the aqualisa aquamixa NOT the rubber type that you shove onto the taps themselves.

Installing a shower over a bath

That would involve some pipework would it not? Are the ones that work off the taps a decent solution?

Installing a shower over a bath

Hi, Just moved into a new (3yrs old) house and would like to fit a shower over the bath. What things do I need to consider when choosing the type of shower? I'm beginning to think that a mixer shower would be best to save on the wiring for an electric shower. Can I run a mixer shower...

Replacing bathroom light switch with pull cord switch

Hey, Thanks guys. It sounds like the switch rewiring is too big a job for me. The pull cord switch would just be a case of intercepting that cable and wiring it into the switch and fitting it into the ceiling wouldn't it? Only then I would have a useless switch on the landing! Hmmm. Webby...

Replacing bathroom light switch with pull cord switch

I'm sorry, that might help if I knew which part I should be reading, but it's all a bit complex to me. Thanks

Rewiring a light switch to work another light

Hi, I've looked over the forums for this but I can't find it. I have a light switch outside the bathroom and I'd like instead to use a pull cord switch inside the bathroom. How would I go about doing this? Once done, I would then like to rewire the switch to turn on the hallway lights...

Tiny cracks running along walls one inch from ceiling

Thanks guys, that's brilliant info. I'll check out the NHBC cert, but I'm not sure we wanna cause a delay in asking it to be sorted by the vendors.....I'd be happy to sort it out myself. Cheers, Webby
