not really, but the overflowing/condensation is worse when the central heating is on as well. But then there will be more water to expand when it is going as well. Andrew

The question is about the F & E tank for the central heating. It was filling up from below, mainly when the hot water was heating up. It was causing condensation in the tank which was then dripping out of the overflow. Changed the cylinder thermostat as on inspection it was not working...
