I know some of you dont agree with fitting a second hand boiler but i have no choice My broken boiler is a Halstead 45F and I am looking at buying an Ideal Classic FF250 My engineer has said my system is not designed for this ideal and will cost double to install does anyone know why...

It was blowing the fuse on the pcb, so the engineer installed a new pcb still no joy so he said it was the gas valve and installed one and still nothing. I got a different engineer and he is now saying it is the pump so I have given up! :(

Hi I have now given up trying to have my boiler repaired and can just about stretch to a used boiler. Please can anyone advise where to buy one or is anyone selling one. Thanks a lot

So, an update I managed to locate the valve I needed and now after having that fitted plus a new pcb apparently its the thermostat! Roll on summer!

Yes Tony in an ideal world of course we would replace the boiler but we simply cant afford to do that so its a case of fix this one or have a long cold winter
