    Filling in this gap?

So I've been removing some wallpaper and came across this junction between external wall and stud wall. The gap was bridged with some timber. I've removed a load of loose rubble . What is best to fill the gap?

worcester 24i junior, fitting room thermostat

Thanks for both the helpful and not so helpful advice. The reason I ask about the cable is that I've read a few posts where using 4 or 5 core can be beneficial in case of future upgrades and flexibility. This is a diy forum too so it would be great to get some actual help and advice.

My loft floor and insulation plan

Ok, so after much thought I've decided to get a joiner in to have a look about doing the floor. But from what I can tell fitting insulation inbetween the rafters is a job I can do without causing any major disruption. My question is do i need to leave an air gap or not? The roof has sarking...

    Drawer front has came off

I finally figured out how to release the fittings. There is a PhilIps shaped gap located inside the middle rectangle hole. I couldn't see it at first as the mechanism was hidden. I used the screws which allow for height adjustment and there it was. A quick turn with a screwdriver and it...

Socket too low but cable to short to move.

I got the socket fixed and moved up. I used the 30a block and extended the wire. I fitted a dry wall back box so I could flush fit the socket. I would have been great to replace the whole wire from the nearest socket but that a job for another day. Thanks for the advice everyone.
