    ah, its all making sense now!!! when a window or door frame goes in, is there normaly a standard size that they are resesed in to the brick work?

    When closing a cavity at say, some patio doors is is best to get the brickie to close it using brick work and a dpc? the reason i ask this is the last year when i rebuilt my house they just used cavity closers.
