Worcester Bosch 24cdi heating drain down- hot water?

Adding complete new rad and pipework. Just a really small one to sort a cold spot. When I refill I will be adding inhibitor and boiler noise reducer. I thought boiler pressure only referred to the CH side?

Worcester Bosch 24cdi heating drain down- hot water?

I have a Worcester Bosch 24cdi boiler, I need to drain down the heating to add a new radiator into the system- quite happy doing all this and refilling. BUT, once I have drained down the central heating, can I still switch on a hop tap to call for hot water or would this cause some damage to...

    Free solar panels?

So what do we think to this then? http://www.isis-solar.com/ apparently free solar panels, and the payment from the govt is taken by the company who install the panels- the homeowner get to use the electricity generated on site. I'd be interested in your opinions! p.s. Mods please move...

    Ducting route for cooker hood

Doesn't this reduce the efficiency though? Surely 125mm right through if that is the outlet from the hood?

    Ducting route for cooker hood

I want to install one of these http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/S19872842 My brother can do the electrics (17th edition qualified etc) but I will drill the wall and route the ventilation pipe. The pipe required is a 125mm pipe, which I can obtain easily from screwfix or...

    Worcester 24i help needed please

This may seem a ridiculous response, but have you altered the clock on it (last weekend), and if so, did you possibly alter it the wrong way, therefore giving a 2 hour difference? Always check the simple things!

Service and repair on Worcester Bosch 24CDi (Southampton)

Then surely in me combining jobs, the repair and the service, this is beneficial as you're travelling less (time you're not paid for) and working more (time you are paid for) I fail to see how "I have a Worcester Bosch 24CDi (case reads 24 LE but Manual is a CDi, pic of boiler attached), and...

Service and repair on Worcester Bosch 24CDi (Southampton)

With respect, it needs the repair, but is also (overdue) a service, so it makes sense whilst the boiler is stripped to service it as well. So yes, a repair, and yes, a service, but I would expect to pay for both of these. Hopefully the cost of providing these would be lower than if there were...

Edit your original post to say "Sorry, I note you are Southampton based and i am in London so a little to far away for me. Hope you find someone good soon" should do it!

Service and repair on Worcester Bosch 24CDi (Southampton)

Since I've recieved so much helpful advice off these forums, I thought it appropiate to offer a paid job on here as I know work has quietened down for some regular posters. I have a Worcester Bosch 24CDi (case reads 24 LE but Manual is a CDi, pic of boiler attached), and the boiler requires...

    Fitting catflap in UPVC door

Some have a thin metal (steel?) plate in the panels, so you may need an HSS drill bit and metal jigsaw blade. It may be easier for you to remove the panel and cut, especially if there is glass in part of the door, to prevent any accidents with vibration!

Musty damp smell - airbricks blocked?

Surely the cavity can't ventilate as it is full of whatever the insulation is? Question how well it has been done though if you can't see insulation behind the airbricks- are you sure they weren't sleeved through the cavity- although if this had been done they shouldn't have been sealed!
