    Hotpoint FF200L Fridge Freezer Issue

I have a Hotpoint FF200L but the fridge is not going cold. I notice that the damper in the fridge is not opening by itself even on the self-test. I replaced it but it still is not opening. However, if I lift the damper flap, the piston comes out and holds the flap open. It seems as though...

    Scantonic i-on40 Software Upgrade Craziness

I upgraded my i-on40 to v4.05.04 recently only for v4.05.05 to be released. No idea what the changes made to it were, but for safety, I upgraded again. I look again today and I find that a new version v4.05.06 has been released! What is going on? What does this change bring? Come on...

    Scantronic i-on40 Updater not connecting

Is anyone else having difficulty connecting the Scantronic i-on40 to the Software Updater tool to upgrade to 4.05.05? I have tried different computers, different USB cables and different days. No luck - any ideas?

Bell Box Internal or External Battery

I have decided to leave the internal battery disabled for the time being. Lets see what issues I face.

Bell Box Internal or External Battery

I guess this really comes down to whether the internal battery is there for the correct functioning of the unit, or to just protect against the bell cable being cut by an intruder. If it is the latter, then I see no value in having the alarm ring when I turn off the volts when I service the...

Bell Box Internal or External Battery

Now that is scary. It is a Pyronix Deltabell - how did you know? What is the benefit of doing it properly? The alarm tampers are connected, so if anyone manages to get it off the wall then it will sound. However, cutting the cable will be impossible as it is in the plaster now. I also...

Bell Box Internal or External Battery

I have replaced my bell box. There is a link which selects between internal or external battery, If I select external battery, and run it off the main alarm panel, is this okay? My thinking is that no one will be able to get to the bell box cable to cut it, as it is buried in the walls...

    Scantronic XCELRPT Conversion

My dog died and I was wondering whether I can modify my Scantronic XCELRPT to be XCELR and get the increased protection that they provide over the pet friendly sensors. Is this possible? On a related note, why do the radio XCELR devices not shine a red light when you walk underneath them...

    Scantronic i-on40 Speech Dialler

I have been told that the i-sd01 will work in the i-on40 but I cannot see why they would make the i-sd02 if that was the case. Can anyone please confirm as the two modules look identical.

    Scantronic i-on40 Speech Dialler

Hi there Does anyone know whether I can use the i-sd01 speech dialler on the i-on40 alarm panel? It is cheaper and I just wanted to check whether it will work instead of the more expensive i-sd02.

Scantronic I-on40 and two Final Exits

Thanks Hoover If I have two final exits, then presumably the alarm will set once both final exit doors are closed. I guess that this arrangement will then will give me time to switch off the alarm irrespective of whether I come in from the front door or the back door using the nearest RKP...

Scantronic I-on40 and two Final Exits

Hi there I am thinking about purchasing and installing the Scantronic I-on40 alarm system. I intend to fit a PIR in my Hall as the entry route and a proximity sensor on my front door as my Final Exit. However, as I also use my back door to leave the property, could I have a second Final...

Low Pressure from Surrey Flange to Power Shower

Thanks everyone. It was debris in the dip tube that was impeding the flow of water. Pressure is great now. I love you all. Babycakes. xx

Low Pressure from Surrey Flange to Power Shower

Softus - you are right and everything does fail. Looking at the diagram above, the plug between the shower feed may be faulty or as I said it may be blocked. Watch this space. I will report back as soon as I have delved deeper. I appreciate your help and comments.

Low Pressure from Surrey Flange to Power Shower

Dear Joe-90 The thing that I fail to understand is that the power shower worked and then one day stopped working. Investigation suggests that the flange is at fault - could some debris have found its way into it? I cannot imagine it has failed looking at this picture of a surrey flange...
