Did you not read any of the reviews? 73% of the reviews say it's terrible, it's a wonder anyone would ever buy it give the reviews. Or that B&Q even publish the reviews.
Don't you just hold the trigger a tiny bit for low torque and the further you pull the trigger the higher the torque. That's how mine seems to work anyway.
In the real world the subwoofer typically goes in the corner or somewhere else out of sight. Because you know, it's a fecking great big ugly black box and generally people don't want to be able to see it.
What about 10mm acrylic (no chance of any deterioration whatsoever then) and with a bevelled edge to further reduce it being visible? Or just do the right thing and fit an appropriate worktop.

Same here, I have a band saw and a scroll saw, both bought for cheap/old off Marketplace, I've never actually used the scroll saw but used the band saw loads.
