Do Non-Water Saving Tap Aerators Exist?

We have a gravity fed system and hot water pressure coming out of the kitchen tap is fine as standard, but I fitted one of those swivel aerators that water companies provide for free/are on Amazon etc. but it makes the hot water pressure even lower. I really like the swivel/spray function so...

Gap above UPVC door and rain dripping

Hi all, the door from our utility room to outside drips right on you when you open the door in this heavy rain, no other door seems to do it so just trying to work out the best fix for it? Ive added a video to show what I mean. Is there anything I can do to deflect the rain elsewhere? As you...

    Lockshield Valve for UHF?

Ok thank you. I don't believe there is a floor probe as there are only 2 wires coming out of the wall so no point me getting an independent wall thermostat as it wont give me anything different. I will continue to use it with Tado, but give it its own schedule. It will kick in based on room...

    Lockshield Valve for UHF?

I have a single feed UHF pipe that heats the kitchen floor but it seems to take a while to heat up. I have a Tado system and to save energy, I currently have it set to come on only when other radiators are on, but the other rooms always get to temp first and boiler continues running for some...

Radiators on Two Different Sets of Pipework?

Hi all, just in the process of draining our gravity fed heating system. First time doing it since moving into the house earlier this year. Which Colour Sika FastFix for Grey Patio?

Struggling to pick which colour to go for, has anyone got experience? Not sure how accurate the colours shown online are. We have grey indian stone so you'd assume 'Deep Grey' would be the one, but looking at the colours 'Stone' looks more grey sand not sure if 'Flint' would be too dark

    Replace Klima Underfloor Heating Thermostat

Hi, moved into a property with Klima electric underfloor heating installed. Its got the attached thermostat on the wall but I want one that I can programme. Are they a straight swap? Does it have to be with another Klima stat? Not sure if this one is just an air temp sensor rather than having...

Can anyone point me in the direction of a replacement mechanism?

Hi all, the locking mechanism in our downstairs toilet is dodgy at best! The locks shoot out the side, but only one of them is working and that one doesnt seem to engage fully meaning the window can be opened with a bit of force. Not tried to take apart and look at it as thought it may be best...

How Full Should Cold Water Storage Tank Be?

I posted recently with a query around my expansion tank which was overflowing due to a very slow drip on the float valve. As part of that I learned that the tank only needed to be around a third full, which helped when replacing the float valve to get it back to the correct level. I was up the...

Is My F&E Tank Too Full?

Ok thanks, ill keep an eye on it. Ive now lowered it and water is much lower. What would be signs to look for now if valve is leaking? Water rising again? Do you have a link to the type you suggest, may just change anyway if its easy enough to do

Is My F&E Tank Too Full?

Noticed a small brown batch on the ceiling above the bathroom this morning so went up into the loft and saw that the F&E overflow pipe was dripping....loose compression coupling, sorted now hopefully. But whilst up there I was taking a look at the tank, never had one before. Pictures show how...

    Low Hot Water Pressure

Hi all, moved into a house last month which has a hot water tank and tank in the loft. Shower and cold taps are fed by main cold feed which has very good pressure, but water pressure from hot taps is poor. I've been round with a 1/2 litre jug: Kitchen tap downstairs (approx 4.5 meters directly...
