Can this Glazing Panel be Replaced?

Hi all, The double glazing in our bathroom has misted up so looking to get it replaced. Im just wondering if they will have problems getting it out due to the tiling being over the frame at the edges or is removing the middle panel and gaskets enough?

Water Pooling on Concrete. New concrete on top of concrete?

Hi all, The side of our house is one large concrete slab, the whole length of the house by about 10ft. There is an area where the concrete dips and water sits there for days after some rain. I was going to drill some drainage holes in it but cant be sure where the water pipes are. Is it...

Add Extra Double Socket in Shed

Yeah absolutely, just had this stuff lying round and it looked the same thickness, but I guess the difference between the 2 is hardly visible to the eye. Just been and got the proper stuff

Add Extra Double Socket in Shed

Oops, sorry dumb moment there. Diameter of the copper strands per core is 1.5mm. So if my calculations are correct, this cable is spot on? 0.75 x 0.75 x 3.142 = 1.77 per core x 2 cores = 2.5ish Or do i factor in earth too, in which case its around 5mm

    Fitting Outdoor Hot Tap

Morning all, Im toying with the idea of putting a hot tap outside using the pipework under the sink. I already have a cold tap outside and will want to retain this for watering the garden. The hot water will be for filling paddling pool for the little one, washing dogs etc. so don't want...

    10mm reducer, 9mm hole? Normal?

Just been to B&Q to get a 15mm to 10mm reducer to fit the new 15mm TRV onto 10mm pipe. This is all they have I think - https://www.diy.com/departments/plumbsure-compression-reducing-set-dia-15mm/34169_BQ.prd Got home, and the pipe seems to thick to slide into it. Measure pipe, 10mm, measure...

    15mm TRV on a 25mm Radiator?

Just fitting a TRV as per another thread. TRV is 15mm both ends. Feed pipe is 10mm (i know i can get a 15mm to 10mm reducer for this) But at the radiator end, not sure what I need to do? The radiator itself seems to be around 25mm? Can i remove this piece? If so, how do i do that and what...

Ok, so just draining my system to fit a standard TRV on a radiator in the hall since the thermostat got moved from in there (towel rad is now the rad which no longer has a TRV). How Do Smart TRVs Work?

Yeah i was wondering about alternative heating, but now just thinking of adding a second nest thermostat into the nursery and have it go by that at night time. Yeah it will still heat the rest of the house, but so will the Tado unless i buy 8 TRVs to go with it and spend a fair few hundred on...

    How Do Smart TRVs Work?

Slept on it and thinking about it again, can any benefit be seen with just having 1 smart TRV in a room? Surely if I was to put one in the babys nursery, temp drops and it kicks the boiler in, it will act no differently to just placing the thermostat in there and all other rads will heat up too...

    How Do Smart TRVs Work?

Just thinking about these and wondering how they work in a single zone setup? So our heating is just one loop (i think), starts at the rad closest to boiler (rad 1) and travels throught the rest ending at rad 8 downstairs. If i was to stick a smart TRV on rad 3 for example and i wanted that...

Options for Controlling Temp in One Room with Nest System?

Hi All, I've had Nest installed for a couple of years now and has always done the job for what we need, but we've since gained a new member of the family who is now 6 months old and about to move into her own nursery. Is there any workable options out there for getting the temperature in her...
