Hi all,

The side of our house is one large concrete slab, the whole length of the house by about 10ft.

There is an area where the concrete dips and water sits there for days after some rain.

I was going to drill some drainage holes in it but cant be sure where the water pipes are.

Is it possible to mix some new concrete and lay it on top to level it up? Not sure if it would stick?

Water pipes are unlikely to be in the slab, normally below it buried in soil at least a foot or so down

If it's an inch or more you can get away with it.
Grind the existing concrete first to expose something for the new concrete to grip on.

There's a bunch of questions/variables to go through before any attempt is made to lay a topping slab of concrete onto the existing.
Special mixes and preparation are needed for thin toppings - they are usually used indoors.
Heavy thick toppings bring their own many possible difficulties.

Depending, its sometimes the best case to demo the existing, and pour a new slab?

Silver, or kiln dried sand, 3:1, with SBR, applied to a clean solid surface and well trowelled, before giving it a light brush to roughen the surface. But you need to work quick, as it goes off very quick.
