thankyou, so glad you replied, after you mentioned the wiggling bit its the only thing i didnt do, gave it a wiggle and a bit of movement and its out so now on to removing the cartridge

im convinced the plumber installed has used some sort of thread lock on it, it will turn the same as the handle does when its connected so not alot at all.
