Thanks again guys. The rec said that they would have to charge a £400 works fee because the unit is being moved at request not because of a faulty/ unsafe unit. I will probably get a spark to wire in the cu (and maybe pull the fuse)

I would also check for leaky capacitors as many motherboard manufacturers including aopen were plagued by capacitor problems causing boot failures. Even if a capacitor doesn't appear to be leaking this could still be the problem. Also it is worthwhile removing the motherboard and placing it...
