    As far as I remeber the car altenator was/ is AC and would have a set of diodes wired up inside to force the electric in one direction to DC. I dont know how this mixer circut board works though and I dont fancy the idea of making up such circuits, but I have a wee diagram I will upload soon...

    Yes its a 12V DC to 230/40 AC invertor and yes I would still need the transformer that came with the mixer to power it up Unfortunitly that mixer you linked in the add has no built in EQ or effects

    The original plan of all this testing was to build a battery for it and run it from that, but if it is an AC unit then that will never work

    Looks like JohnW2 has one him self OK just tried it with the meter set to the 200AC and the 3 pins, when I test them next to each other I get 16.9v, but when I test them furthest way I get 34V

    so you unscrew the brass cap and water squerts out, should it stop pooring water out at some point?

    Cant edit my original post You say its the pump, I though these boilers worked off of mains water pressure. Do you know where I can get a workshop type manual for this or do you know where the pump is located? Thanks

    Hi Have a look at this quick video I made of my boiler fireing up and the water pressure going right up and then it cutting out with a 404 error. what do you think? Thanks FF
