    Clamps for hobs usually extend 20-30mm beyond the cut out.The diagram seems to show spring clips for the side and optional clamps where the the worktop may be unsuitable for spring clips (for example 20 mm work top )

    All new builds have the boards fitted and skimmed before any heating is fitted . No significant moisture on bare walls .

    Maybe packers to adjust frame height .Just get them back ( my daughter recently had a poorly fitted damaged door but company replaced completely as the damage to it was unrepairable ). Don’t accept excuses or anything that you are unhappy with . Have you paid in full?
