    COMPAP THERMOSTATIC RADIATOR VALVE QUESTION

In case it's useful, I wasn't able to fully turn off my Comap thermostatic valve either. I realised if you turn it to full on, the min and max pins can be pulled down and drop out. With the pins out you can turn it all the way down to the blue zero and turn the radiator off. (I've got the same...

Best filler for newel post joint?

Thanks for advice guys. I used a two part called FILLTITE. just like car body filler I used on my renault 5 10 years ago, but as geraldthehamster suggested probably was easier to sand. I used some mesh behind to strengthen, left over from fixing the Renault. Much easier to do than I expected and...

    Basic shower layout question

My 900x900 shower enclosure is timber stud wall on one wall and Victorian brick on the other. It's going to be a pain burying pipes and cables in the brick, but if I mount the shower on the stud wall it'll be opposite the shower door. Sainsburys tile spacer appeal!

Well, I may have to. That's what I meant about only being able to do 1m at a time, need 3 spacers per tile, 14 rows x about 7 tiles each row. Makes it a long process as they'll have to be removed and cleaned up each time.

    Sainsburys tile spacer appeal!

I bought a pack of sainsburys tile spacers in a tube (600 x 3mm) last year, finally got round to doing some bathroom tiling with them and now they're discontinued - sainsburys can't find any in any stores. The annoying thing is I turned them horizontal to get a thinner mortar gap then pulled...
