Ive been using the no trip setting and in most cases when testing at the RCCB it has been tripping. Im not sure how old it is mate.

Only some, mostly worked on large sites though. Im using a MEGGER MFT1553. Just need some refreshing mate :oops: :wink:

Im doing a lot of testing the now but need a bit of guidance. In the place that im workin has RCCB boards (i take it they are the same as RCD boards?) Is ok to do testing on them Insulation resisatnce etc?? I also set my testing equipment to 'no trip' on the ZS test but most of the time...

It turned out it wasnt a lost neutral thats what i was told before i went. I got there and the breaker was tripping as soon as i tried to switch it on. So i checked in a lighjt fitting and the connector block was brittle, just bracking in my hands as soon as touched it :shock: This was...

Ive been sent a job tomorrow where theres a neutral lost in the lighting circuit. Ive not done much work in that area before. Any pointers on things to do, look for etc

Ive tried it on a few different circuits i think its the batteries.

Zs i was using the lead that has the plug on the end of it. I will try the batteries tonight, thanks for the advice Looks like ive found a good forum here 8)

Hi first post on here, hoping i could find some help. I'm doing testing using a Megger mft1553 Im trying to do zs test. My voltage is coming up but its not giving me an ohms ready, the earth symbol just keeps coming up. Any ideas on what is up with it, and how i can fix it? Thanks.
