    Cladding a shower area

Hi thanks for your reply. I'm not actually tiling, Just cladding. With this in mind I was going to position the shower base then clad down to it. Would this be the correct way to do things? Thanks once again.

Sorry about the delay in replying. I'm intending to use the shower room cladding rather than tiles.

    Joist Hangers

Hi, I'm installing a floor in a small shower room using 6"x2" across a span on approx 1000mm. I'm not quite sure what type of hangers I need to use to attach to the timber spanning the length of the room. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    Distance between floor joists

I was hoping thaat someone might be able to point me I the right direction to the joist hangers that I will need. I've been looking at the light duty joist hanger on toolbox.co.uk http://www.toolstation.com/shop/Structural/Builders+Metalwork/d210/sd2797

    Distance between floor joists

Brilliant advice Richard and really appreciated. The kitchen floor was all put in when the extension was done, it's a concrete screed and is about 11' x 13'. The shower room I'm working on is added on to the kitchen but is taken off part of the garage which is 12" lower down.

As you can see I've been using the space for storing bits and bobs, but this is where the shower room will be.
