Hello, a friend has just moved house and it seems the previous owner did a lot of the work himself. In a cupboard this wiring was left exposed. Could anyone give me advice on what she should have done about it? Thanks

I've spoken to the manufacturer and they state that the PIR wires should come ready assembled in the chock block. This is not the case so I assume this is a shop-opened unit and will return it. I have also ordered a multi-meter!

The previous wiring can be seen in photos old 1 and old 2 in my folder. The light switch is in the photo called switch. The terminals on it say in order, top left = way, L1 , (red wire),L2 (black wire) and there's also an earth. Bottom = Com, (red wire) Top right = Com (red wire) Bottom...

^^As I said, it had been kept in the garage but only for the past 2 weeks and it hasnt been too cold. What would be my best course of action to remove the paint now?

I used a roller and tray, yes. Not new but both were cleaned well prior to use. I think it may have been due to the soap water as only give it a quiick wipe down :shock:
