    Hi If I turned system off and took an old radiator off to decorate, will I need to temporarily cap it off before turning back on? I'll only need hot water for a few weeks so seems I can just turn heating dial off but didn't know if will loose pressure for hot water. Cheers. Vogue max combo 32

    Hi The manufacturer has not tested plastering on these boards but said they know people have. Any one with experience of plastering insulated tile backer boards? They say They are coated on both sides with a glass-fibrem esh reinforced polymer-cement coating.

    Hi Inline fans... Do the ones with led in the end vent need the led part to be wired to a lighting circuit or does the light take the power from the fan wiring. Cheers

    Tile backer boards jointing

    Hi Concrete floor and popping tile backer boards on to insulate the floor a little. 20mm boards. Do I tape the joints and if so what type? What compound too please? Will be tiling on top so any tips to prep the floor will be fully appreciated. Cheers Andy

    No tiles are going on skimmed backer boards. These will be seperate boards for the tiles. All 4 walls will be tile backer boarded (with insulation) but only shower area will be tiled (not skimmed)

    Fair point. Old dpf can only just be seen in that corner. Rest of house extended or old facias or York stone brickwork removed and replaced with insulation behind. What's the score for that corner? Lay something down before underlay? Edit.... Sorry i see your recommendation.

    Forgot to say zero sun gets on this part of the house. Always in shade Neighbours are joined on and they have no issues with damp or floods etc From the inside that outside wall is colder to touch but no damp patches etc. It's just the floor where wardrobe was on top of. Damp underlay and carpet
