Additionally, we wanted to put some mural wallpaper on top of it and with that, I wanted to seek some advice on a few questions. I've read that it is advisable to put wallrock...

Wallrock thermal liner - coming off the wall

Hi, I hired a decorator to hang my wallrock thermal liner kv600. Unfortunately, it did not go so well. Immediately after he left it became obvious that the liner was coming off the wall at almost all of the seams. What's more worrying is that there are very clearly some quite large bubbles...

    Advice on solid wall insulation

...thin options for internal wall insulation? The corridor and bedroom are quite narrow/small so I don't really want to lose 100mm with internal insulation. I've read some okay reviews about using thermal liner as an option? We would paint as opposed to wallpaper over however. Thanks in advance!

Does a vent improve or make condensation worse?

I have been trying Wallrock thermal liner in my en-suite so far it seems to be doing the trick, room is much warmer too. Pricey but seems worth it. http://www.erfurtmav.com/erfurt-mav-wallpaper-products/wallrock/wallrock-thermal-liner

Can I use Wallrock over existing lining paper?

The thermal liner is good stuff but I agree with previous comments about difficulty in hanging it. It seems like a sledgehammer to crack a nut, in any case. If the walls are really rough then re-skimming would probably work out not much more expensive than the thermal liner. It's not cheap.

    Internal Wall Insullation

You could try something like WallRock Thermal Liner. It's pretty expensive but does make a difference and can be emulsioned directly or papered over with certain types of wallpaper. Make sure you use the Wallrock adhesive for the Thermal Liner though.

    Lining paper

it has not been suggested that wallrock thermal liner is a match for 50mm of pir. of course its not. however, on this thread the liner has been dismissed as a waste of time by people that have likely never tried it. If you can make a difference with thermal liner without having to knock off...

To insulate or not to insulate?

Thanks for all the info, my joiner has suggested considering a thick curtain across the door and window as well as thermal wallpaper - any thoughts on Wallrock KV600 Thermal Liner? Also is secondary glazing film worth trying?
