Long story.. I'll cut to the chase. I need to refit an external might on our garage but I don't want to take the mains off s my alarm will kick off. Can I just trip the garage circuit from the mains to cut electric to the garage whilst I complete the job or not?

I *think* I have a fix.....when the new guttering is done, I'll ask them to splice off into the downpipe on nextdoor a side. It's only like a foot over the boundary and won't bother anybody (I'll check with next door)...at least that way we know it's going to a drain that way. ..

Hi, That sounds more like it - does it also how whilst the oven is on as there is definitely a fan sound missing from the oven whilst it's on? Assuming the fan at the back is the'heating' fan?
