Ok so I went into menu and replaced the Batteries of all sensors I set the alarm and let it ring out (so that I get a text message) cos I’m approaching the 180 days Vodafone give before a sim expires Unfortunately although the siren outside rang and panel inside rang - no text was received...

But when I go into engineering do I select any particular option or just enter my engineer code so I’m In menu ..

Unfortunately it says something else now….see attached please Before I’m not sure what it said…but it’s certainly yeh right code cos you can press yes to “exit engineer menu” after u keep pressing no…. Not sure what to do now - any help appreciated please!

Hi I punched in engineers code - didn’t go on any particular setting - just left on engineer menu. And when I opened the sensor with screwdriver - the alarm started beeping off! Was I meant to select a particular option before opening ??

Pls see attached the sensor I think they are CR123A I will enter engineer code tonight and open sensors to check And yes replace all same time - good point!! Will any batteries do or do people recommend a particular brand - or maybe rechargeable ones ? I was thinking of these CR123A 3V...

Hi all The previous homeowner did not look after the shower enclosure very well it seems they may have used some corrosive type cleaning products because it seems to have eroded the “polished aluminium” (finish confirmed by the manufacturer - Merlyn) I was wondering if anybody had some advice...

I did this - it sent me a text as recently as July - when I purposely let it ring out to test yet by august it became de registered Very annoying

And How about the “mains”? luckily nothing happen this time - just did a straight swap. I’m using Vodafone cos they sent me a replacement. With pre loaded credit. still not sure why they deactivate the sim as a text was sent from alarm within the last 180 days. I didn’t top up in this period...

Ok so what is the easiest way to do this In future? switch off alarm from consumer unit And when u open box disconnect the wire that looks like a battery? I saw a few that looked liked broadband style telephone wires …. hopefully I can keep my sim active this time and never have to change!!!

Hi! Thanks for your help! I didn’t do the battery and mains part I’m not sure what you meant by down? but I managed to swap the swim and all seems ok….. :) but if I should do something with battery / mains pls let me know! will just top this sim up before every 180 days

Obviously there is likely a big gap between the trellis panel - and the pointy wooden piece! Could be a long screw required !

Not sure how this person added their trellis - and secured it given his short posts like mine? but re the gap between panels - hopefully my awful drawing gives idea what I mean about making a new wider pointy wooden slat 4 times - and try screw onto each trellis panel?
